Huntingdon Valley PA, November 30, 2005: Alpha

that it will expand its central data center to provide
disaster recovery capabilities for natural emergencies
to its customers.
"Many hospitals are ill prepared for a disaster, whether it is a natural disaster or internal emergencies such as water leaks, server failures and IT downtime. As a result, medical records are at risk from irreparable damage or loss," said Brett Griffith, president and COO of Alpha Systems. "In an age of digital technology, many hospitals still rely on records stored in the basement or on servers that may be down due to extended routine maintenance."
After the recent onslaught of hurricanes in the South and flooding emergencies in the Northeast, Alpha realized that its customers need a fail-proof backup storage and disaster recovery system so that medical records don't get destroyed, whether due to fire or water damage. Even access to critical medical records is a concern during IT maintenance.
"Our company has a complete CD/DVD back up copy of all customers' scanned records securely stored in an off-site vault in our Huntingdon Valley facility, near Philadelphia," said Mr. Griffith. "In the event of a natural disaster, Alpha can send computer disks back to the customer with all complete patient medical records, or support Web access from any location for personnel or patients seeking the medical information."

Our customers can quickly implement a disaster recovery program using our current storage capabilities and upgraded access, and never fear losing all of this valuable, irreplaceable information," added Griffith.
